I totally agree that CCP should do something like this. The real question is how do they attribute a specific amount to "macroing" to determine the amount of damage done? There should be a method, but I for one do not know it. I liken it to computer security. Some of the best security professionals were "hackers" in their past. Perhaps CCP should find and get the lead macroers to assist them in exchange for immunity.

I can't agree with you more on this. If it's a bannable offense, then they should actually ban people for doing it. Hell, even if it's just a person here or there that gets caught, I'd be happy with that.
I also agree that macroers are really cheating with impunity and until there is some risk to their actions, I simply don't see the macroers stopping.
My hope is that this will somehow hit CCPs radar and get them to take some kind of action, or put forth a different statement other than "See our EULA. It's a bannable offense."
